Being a Girl Scout leader, I'd have to say that I am partial to the Girl Scouts. What I like best about either one, is that they are seperate organizations for each gender. There are plenty of opportunities for girls and boys to be together, but there are times that they need to be seperate to "do their own things."
What I like about Girl Scouts is that it is not co-ed and that a young woman can grow into her own with self confidence and courage without the added burden of trying to look cool around the boys.
What I like about Boy Scouts is that it is not co-ed and that a young man can grow into his own with self confidence and courage without the added burden of trying to look cool around the girls.
And, btw, there is more to Girl Scouts than cookies.

The Civil Air Patrol (USAF Auxiliary) is much better than the scouts.

I am a girl and used to be a girl scout so I would say that gs are better and they sell good cookies.

It's all about the girl scouts....I love the cookies....Other than that, it doesn't really matter.

Boy scouts are ok.Im a boy so I like boyscouts best.

Myself - I pick 'Camp Fire'.
It's co-ed and not as demanding about expectations about "GET THOSE PATCHES". The clubs are geared towards the kids in that area - not just a 'national program'.
But in the end - they're all good for the kids!

depending on your gender they are both good organizations for children
