My fiance spilled a bunch of laundry soap behind the washer and dryer in our apartment. Will it attract bugs if we can't get to it and clean it up?

No. Only food or sugar or milk or sweets attract bugs. Just get some bug spray if you want to be sure and spray it daily for a few months.

Not at all, actually one of the best and least ways to get rid common house pests (insects, bugs) such as ants, gnats, fleas, etc. is a mixture of 4parts boric acid to one part water and just a pinch of sugar. Mix this into a paste, put about a teaspoon of this paste on a saucer, empty jelly jar lids, or whatever you choose. Place these everywhere through out the house that you have been seeing those little pests. They work the same way as an ant trap or roach hotel. Boric acid is most commonly known as borax or as many of you will remember from Ronald Regan's days on television "Twenty Mule Team BORAXO" the sponsor of his show "Death Valley Days" is really just an additive to soap. The pinch of sugar is only added to attract the bugs to the boric acid which to insects is a deadly poison. They won't get near the stuff if it wasn't disguised as a sweet treat. Here is another good tip. In the spring take dry borax, pour a line about 1/4" thick and 3" or 4" wide, as close as possible the whole way around the perimeter of your house. When the spring showers come along the borax seeps into the ground and makes a barrier that lasts until late fall ants will not even try to cross.
P.S. It is completely harmless to humans and pets unless your pet is an insect.

I've never heard of it attracting bugs in a dry state, But if you are having a problem with fruit flies , just fill a basin or bowl with dishwashing soapy water, and let it set overnight, the soap attracts the flies and they die .

Is your soap sented? Anything with a sweet sent will attract bugs or rodents. I suggest get a dolly and move your w/d and mop it up. You will be glad you did
