That means you have a wishful thinking, because if he doesn't seem to care about you is simply because he doesn't care about you.
It might not be the way you would like it to be, but it is as simple as that.
If you want him to care about you, start by involving yourself in what he cares, and care for him.
The rest will come if you are sincere.

What makes you think he's just pretending? If he's acting like he doesn't care then chances are he truly doesn't and isn't interested in you. Sorry, that's life.

He is pretending he doesn't care? ... So, he does like you he just doesn't want you to know... that he knows... that you know... that he knows that you like him. I don't really know what to say, he sounds a bit like a jerk. Maybe you should find someone else.... to crush on.
