What is a 1-800 to call for a husband that beats you? My aunt is in a horrible situation right now as we speak.

I can't, her husband doesn't know that I know, so getting the cops out there would make it worse. She doesn't want them out there and if he finds out after the cops leave it will get worse.

But if I called 911, the police will come out there. She doesn't want the police and if they come out there she and her husband will pretend like nothing happened and when the police leave, I'm sure he will do something then.

depends on where she lives, look in the front of a local phone book, before the government pages in the customer guide, and there should be a section labeled "emergancy & crisis intervention agencies". (Mine is on page A2, but yours may differ)
Good luck.

If your aunt doesn't want the police out there then perhaps she isn't ready for help because they could remove the abuser and get a restraining order against him. The 1-800 number would be obligated to call the police. Good luck.

Please call 911 immediately. After you've called 911 and the emergency situation has been resolved, call 1-800-799-7233.
