Sight or Sound...which is more important to you?

If you had to choose between being blind or deaf, which would you choose? WHY?

I would chose to be blind. It may have something to do with being a musician, but i think i would still chose to be blind.

I would miss seeing, but there is a greater world of sound than most people comprehend. Stary night conveys emotion, but it has no drive, emotion yes, but no driving force that you can feel. Pretty much the whole Art is cool, but music is better. No one ever started a mosh at a monet exibit.

You can see whats in front of you, as long as there is enough light, but you can hear 360 degrees in a shpere.

Watching a jet fly by is cool, but hearing the rush of the wind, and maybe the sonic boom is power.

I would choose sight. I could handle being deaf...I really don't mind when it is quiet. However, if I were blind, I would not be able to continue with a lot of my favorite pasttimes such as cross stitch, knitting and photography.

I'd choose blind, It would kill me not to be able to listen to music.
Although, honestly deaf and blind are nothing compared to the inablility to feel and touch- could you imagine not having any sensation at all? Thats what scares me, if i couldn't physically feel anymore.

SOUND:
The sights of fighting , dying, innocent young, old, women being butchered mercilessly, bombarded from planes,the after effect of riots, armed rebellion, border disputes, cross border firings, the effect of famines in african countries and elsewhere, Vultures waiting for the famished child to die,the effect of Tsunami, Earthquakes, Vulcanoes,inter party rivalry resulting in violent clashes,
ALL these and other dastardly sights which TV channels seems to take a pride to be the FIRST to exhibit under the caption, some of the scenes are not suitable for the weak hearted persons to view,make one think that it would have been better to have born blind than view all such happenings in the world.
Even in social dramas and TV serials the scenes of treachery and back biting back stabbing , revenge taking scenes, throwing children out of house, driving wife out etc etc are better avoided than being scene and you cant avoid seeing them.
I cant bear to see my lover(s) and girl friend(s) having a nice time with some one else because my pocket could not afford their expectations and demands.
We see in TVs many places of HEAVEN on earth and people enjoying a nice vacation but I have no chance of visiting even one such place with my pocket being empty. So what use seeing them and getting jealous and heartburn and blood pressure.
So neither good things, beautiful things nor bad things can be tolerated by us .
SO WHAT IS THE USE OF THE EYE SIGHT!!!LET ME NOT HAVE IT!!!
Whereas with the EARS we can hear the beautiful songs, the hymns, the vedas and dance to the tunes and drum beatings, hear the chirps of birds, the cuckoo bird singing,the shouts of
YAHOOOOOOOOO.

SIGHT

What is the use of sound.Even as it is we hear only within the human range of the ears and many more sounds are not heard by us. If we miss few more of what harm is it going to do or what good.Atleast we need not worry about the nagging wife, let her have her hearts content and be happy after off-loading all her anger without any after effects,
Our children can switch on any RAP music on and to any reverberating sound and we can cooly read any book of our choice relaxing in the easychair,and no need to seek refuge elsewhere other than sweet home.
Even in cinema theatre we can watch the film undisturbed by the wooing cooing sounds of any newly married couples or B/F & G/F meets .
But with our eyes we can see the beauty of Gods creations, the fauna and flora, the feathers of peacock when dancing,the raised hood of a hissing serpent,the beautyful walk of a majestic elephant ,the waves of the sea, the stars, the moonlit night,
the beauty of a Mona Lisa, the smiling face of a child, the look of satisfaction in the eyes of the winner of a prize. etc etc.
So SIGHT IT IS

The sense of sight is more precious to me...I cannot imagine never seeing the sun rise, watching lightning strike during a thunderstorm, seeing the look of love and respect and awe on my husband's face as the doctor presented him with our first child, watching my children sleep, sitting outside under the stars at night and watching them twinkle, not being able to read my Bible...

i would rather be deaf cause i would think that being blind limits you a little more than being deaf.

Sight is more important than the sound.By sight we can feel satisfied to see everything even though we do not hear. But if we hear, we are not fully satisfied upto the time we do not see.

hmm..thoughy..,choosing between not ever be able again to hear beautiful musics..or never to see beautful things...phew..
between not being able to hear someone during conversation,or not being able to see what i do...
hmmm..deaf..,i guess it would be easy'er to live on with sight,than without,although its with pain in the haert,...never music again..

I don't know. I think if I had to, I think I could cope without sight. I don't think I could live without hearing.

So I guess my answer would be sound is more important to me.
