Do you think that movies these days are getting less and less original? What is your idea for a good movie?

I think the idea rack is empty.

They ran out of original ideas about 20 years ago.....every once in awhile they come up with a new twist on an old idea. They have given up even trying to pretend they have new ideas. Now it is all about remakes or sequels to classics.
I really think the last original idea they had was either Who Framed Roger Rabbit or Babe(which I totally hated).

they ran out of ideas a very long time ago. everything we're seeing now is a remake of something or a futuristic spin on an old theme.
look into foreign and independent films. they have unbelievable themes and original ideas. i'm a movie junkie but i can't stand any of the slop hollywood puts out.
i like having a netflix or blockbuster.com account so i can access all the juicy stuff my local rental shop doesn't stock.
may i recomment World of Lies? it will change your life

I totally agree! There's nothing new under the sun!
But wait...I have an idea!
An epic thriller starring a possum named Possy, and his battle with the human race and their cars! The never-ending battle to prevent roadkill once and for all! The movie: Final Destination: SPLAT!!!
That would be a box-office sell out!

I agree but I plan to change that...see I am seriously writing a really awesome screenplay right now and even though i am in high school I will make it one day! Yeah there are always gonna be times when ideas seem low but don't worry I'll rock the Hollywood scene one day!!!

well not really i love horror movies and u can go to bloody disgusting . com and click on the movie pit and find out all kinds of horror movies coming out such as Wrong Turn 2 , I know what u did last summer 3, grudge 2,umm in 2009 Freddy vs Jason 2 , return of sleepaway camp AKA sleepaway camp 4, umm in 2007 scream 4, and Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael Myers, and SAW 3 comes out Oct.27, 2006!!!! Ext..... go see for Ur self !!!!!!!!!

They ran out of ideas years ago! it's not so much new ideas they need as new and better treatment of the ideas they have. Shakespeare wrote his plays in what, the 1400's?

Yeah that is why they are doing so many remakes and doing a lousy job at it too
