~This is the scariest part about LTRs. I wish the fire could stay buring strong forever the way new love feels! I'm in a new love relationship right now (only 7 months and 2 weeks knowing each other in person if that makes sense) and I wish it would last forever.

Even though the fire doesn't burn strong, you have to keep the spark alive or it will burn out. Trying new things is always a must.. new hobbies, doing things together but also doing things separately. Each of you should have something you do alone also.. like things with friends once in awhile. Also, Victoria's Secret has great sales! I was just there 2 days ago and they are having a 40% set sale. Staying in shape also helps because in a relationship we tend to get a little "comfortable" and let ourselves go. Good luck for a long happy life and congratulations!~

You sound like you have a gem there. To keep it fresh why not turn the tables on him and do special things for him. Send him flowers, cook him a special dinner, plan a picnic, take him out to the movies (your treat), go on long walks together, wear your best outfits when he in not expecting it, etc. You'll then appreciate the efforts he has gone to and remember what you would have if you DIDN'T have him.

I don't worry too much about keeping things new and fresh... my man just keeps me laughing. Enjoy the rapport, the friendship. Sex is nice, but not the only thing in a relationship.

Try reading the book, "5 love languages" with him. He may not be "speaking the right language"... My language is Acts of Service... when J does the dishes (only happens under a blue moon), or starts vacuuming.. you can bet he's getting some tonite!!
