Listen to both, usually only actually buy the christian albums - depending on artist.

Christian Rock & Secular Rock sound alot alike these days with the differences in message and how the artists present themselves.

Switchfoot is ALSO a christian band, been listening to them for more than 10 years now!

I am a Christian music fan and yes sometimes I listen to secular music, mostly when my husband or son are around. The groups I like best are Creed, Dave Mathews, Blues Traveler even some of my son music like Linkin Park etc.

While lately I've been listening primarily to contemporary Christian, there are quite a few secular bands (or at least some of their songs) that I also enjoy. I'm pretty eclectic, so I also enjoy U2, Afro Celt Sound System, Twelve Girls Band, Clannad, Juno Reactor, Trans Siberian Orchestra, Eiffel 65, and lots of various older songs :)

I love songs with a good beat, but I pay a lot of attention to the lyrics of each individual song, and avoid the ones that send a message I don't agree with.

No, I really don't listen to secular music. You can't be sure what's okay and what's not. I feel better listen to Christian music so I feel no convictions. But people are different. I've met married people who listen to secular R&B music and it was ok for them. Follow your convictions. Flyleaf, Inhabited, and some bands are actually Christian bands. Just listen to the words and you'll know.

obviously Christians can take heed to secular music. God created music for us to savor and experience. Pastor G and that i take heed to particularly a lot what you do minus the rap or thrash metallic. We also rejoice with Christian music. it really is quite spiritually uplifting. it really is reliable you're conscious of the lyrics and which words dishonor God.
