Bush states that the US should be free to legally attack any state it deems as a security threat because it has weapons of mass destruction.
Secondly, that the US shall treat any country harbouring terrorists as terrorists themselves.

Anyone see anything wrong with these statements at all? Anyone see anything incredibly frightening about these statements at all?

And is the word 'doctrine' putting people off answering this what usually would be called a leading inflammatory question?

The doctrine advocating the use of sheer force, unhampered by notions like international laws and conventions, to further certain policies is not the creation of the man himself. It could be called the Bush Doctrine only in the sense that he is the mouthpiece formulating the doctrine. Even before Bush, this school of thinking has alwyas been there, latent and unexplored, pending the advent of appropriate circumstances.

Of course this is scary. Let's review the steps the Nazis took in their attempt to take over the world.

1. Hitler burns down German's equivalent to the white house and blames it on Jews and communists.

2. Hitler passes Deutchland Act which gives him power to go to war and total control of gov't

3 Hitler creates prison camps for those deemed enemies to the country.

4 Hitler creates homeland security which we know as Gistapo

5 Hitler impliments national ID cards

Does any of this sound familiar?

Here's a couple of my favourite quotes that peple always think are from Bush but are actually from Hitler

"The world will not help, the people must help themselves. Its own strength is the source of life. That strength the Almighty has given us to use; that in it and through it, we may wage the battle of our life The others in the past years have not had the blessing of the Almighty - of Him who in the last resort, whatever man may do, holds in His hands the final decision. Lord God, let us never hesitate or play the coward"

Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator"

As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice”

"What we have to fight for is the freedom and independence of the homeland, so that our people may be enabled to fulfill the mission assigned to it by the creator"

As for the Bush doctrine being sound? Sure is if you're trying to take over the world.

Bush doesn't HAVE a doctrine. He's little more than a mouth piece. I doubt the man has had an original thought since he stopped drinking in the 70s and became "born again."

Bush's "logic" is the same that was used by one other great war criminal of our time: Adolf Hitler.
And like Hitler he will fail and his country will pay a high price for allowing him to commit his illegal acts.
