For example Vinyl Lining pool, gunite, or fiberglass? Which do you think is the best deal as well?

probably vinyl,if your looking at it from an economic standpoint.

I have had 5 pools. Gunite is the best choice.
Make sure that no trees are close by because roots can damage them

If money is no object go for the gunite.
With gunite you can free form your pool any way you want it.

Underground fibre glass like mine. Have just had it re-fibreglassed and painted, looks like new. It is approx 20 years old.
