system device manager wont tell you the actual card version, you will need to physically remove the card and find its version number. It will be printed on the card. For instance, if you have an ati radeon 7500 video card there will likely be anywhere from 2 to 5 versions.

usually u can open the device manager and click on the item that youre looking up and then go to properties and in there it says the version somewhere

It should be in the control panel, system, hardware profile under either video or audio... just read it though, do not change anything.
