Wow! I am obsessed with the Phantom of the Opera! I saw it three times on stage. Many times on film. I listen to the c.d. I don't know the answer, and now I need to find out. So wonderful seeing a question from another fan!

664 is sold before we get to see it.
665 was the monkey music box found in the vaults of the opera house.
666 was the candalier dropped by the 'Devi's Child' himself.

That's too easy. The chandelier.
My sister asked me after she saw the movie "do you think they numbered it 666 on purpose?" That's one of those look away and sigh moments

that number was the chandelier, the one that was smashed after point of no return because of the phantom. It had been wired for the "new electrical light." and the whole story was a "mystery, never fully explained" I'm obsessed. lol, fun question

It went to lot number '666' The chandilier(sp?)
I think they did that on purpose to give a sense of "oddness" to the story.
