In New York you are legally unable to work until 14, but you should try a supermarket, they usually let you work there regardless of age if you talk to the manger, or some similar small business.
In general, however, its illegal.
And as long as you're committing a crime, you might as well sell drugs, it'll get you loads more money.

You could try being a paperboy. Other than that, it depends on your state's laws about minors working. Most states will not let you get a regular job that young.

I think you need to have a working permit from your school district to start working underage, and also I think there's a minimum age for workers, and I think it's 14.
