I noticed that several sports requier knee high socks a part of the uniform (Football, Soccer, Baseball, Hockey, etc...). And why won't guys wear long socks in everyday clothing if they are a sport icon. Wouldn't that make them look more atletic? I know I'm asking mutiple questions, but they are all realeted and really one question idea.

For soccer, you wear them over your shinguards. They keep the shinguards in place and they help protect your shins.
For the other sports, its probably for a similar reason.

Long sockss help protect your legs in lots of sports. And I see lots of guys wearing long socks all the time. Really short socks also look athletic though, and they make it so the girls can see their toned legs. Very attractive.

LOL I never thought of that!!
But they are pretty thick. Might be uncomfy.
And they also come in some crazy colors!!
