that I can play with my 10 year old son? He loves video games and even more, loves it when I play with him. But, all his games are dumb. I hate them. They are mind-numbing. Can anyone suggest some games that won't make me want to poke my eyes out? Something that would be appealing to a boy and a girly-girl-mom?

One of the answers here suggested you get GTA (Grand Theft Auto) San Andreas. I would advise against this because it is NOT suitable for a 10 yr old, and for about the first half of the game it is only 1 player. Maybe you should try a sports game, I have NRL and it is a pretty good game.

Halo 2 is a hot & probably the most popular Xbox game. It is a shooter game but even my wife likes to play it...you will be the coolest mom on the block :-)
Although it is a shooter, it is not bloody and tends to be addictive.

Phantasy star online episodes 1&2, it's cool with good graphics and it doesn't curse or show alot of bloodplus it's fun and you can play online or offline with up tp 4 people, great game to get into rpgs.

a girly girl mom? hmmm my cousin is a girly girl but she likes to play X-Men Legends with me...she always picks a female character so yeah try it! its only $20 too!!! part two is also out but i personally like part one better!

Try DDR. (Dance Dance Revolution) Its different than most video games because it makes people exercise and its challenging.
