Each state is different in the details, but they all require:

1) a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, with a major in an Education field (regular ed, special ed, bilingual, etc.) and usually a minor in a speciality (elementary ed or a content area such as reading or math).

2) passing state professional competency tests... you may have to take one to get into the education program at the college, and then you have to take general knowledge, basic skills, professional knowledge, and speciality area knowledge tests when you finish your degree, in order to get your license.

3) passing local/state/federal law enforcement background checks

4) submitting licensure paperwork to the state and having it accepted

After you have taught for a few years, you will need to re-justify your professional abilities through either a dossier process or a full evaluation by your administrators.

Here is the site explaining all this for New Mexico (my home state):

A web site won't "tell" you how to become a teacher. If you are interested, then get a BS or BA in education (whatever specialty you choose-elementary, or a specific subject).

If you already have a degree in say art, english, computer science, whatever, you may be able to start teaching while you work towards your teaching credentials. Just google in (state) department education, and you can read more about it there.

Unfortunately that varies from state to state. You can go to the US government Dept of Education site and get links to the state board of education in each state. That will give you the specifics on what each state requires. Essentially, though - you need to go to college and major in either elementary ed or in a content area, take a variety of education classes and do some sort of student teaching or internship, and pass some type of state certification test or tests. Good luck.

Go to a local college, or university, and talk to an adviser, if you are still in high school go to your counciler. Also don't forget the community college system, it is a lot cheaper to take two years there then transfer to a 4 year university. Good Luck, also in some states you can substitute teach with an associate degree or less, also try talking to your local school board

http://www.teachers.net/
There is also an australian teacher's net - search for link on this webpage)

This website has lots of information on teacing ie. lesson plans, etc

You didn't say where you are so it's hard to suggest whereyou can start but generally, universities or educational departments of your city. If you are in Sydney, this is the link you'll need to find out more info. In Aust, You'll need a teaching qualification before you can teach anywhere, whether it's a bachelor degree or a gladuate diploma or certificate of teaching. good luck!

You don't really need a website, you need a Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited college or university.
