My turtle is a little crazy

Yep a Hatchling Gulf Coast Box turtle and A year old Snapper that I hatched out my self

Ha ha ha... do I have a pet turtle? I have 20 or so right now; of which I have three groups breeding. I've kept over 75 turtles and bred numerous clutches. Ya, I have a pet turtle.
So, what's your question? Crazy? Well, turtles have many differen behaviours and none of them are crazy. There's a reason behind most of them. One fun thing to watch is when they put their hands next to their heads and wave it back and forth. Mostly males will do this as part of the mating ritual. It's great to watch. The first time you see it, you'll wonder what the heck is it doing? Crazy turtle! lol

I use to catch baby Red eat slider turtles at a small pond when I was a kid. I got a 20 gal aquarium and fed them feeder fish from walmart. They don't live very long if you hold them a lot. They seem to sorta forget when to eat when you don't leave them alone. This doesn't apply to box turtles because I could feed my box turtle lettuce from my hand just fine. But water turtles need a water enviorment or they wont live long at all. You can also dig a hole in the backyard and bury a think plastic garbage bag under the soil to keep the water in and make them a mini pond. I did this as well and it gave me a lot to do during my young childhood summers.

We had a turtle that followed us around the yard and would sit in your lap if you sat on the ground. I think it thought it was a dog.

I had 2 red-sliders before.. But 1 dead and the other one grew very fast. In the end, my tank is not bif enough for it, so i have to move it to the pool in my Secondary School. Sign, i was so sad.. but no choice, as i want it to live in a better environment and i cannot afford to provide. Haiz~~

yeh, i had a couple. they were red sliders. i caught them from the wild and reaised them from when they were like as small as a quarter.
