You can only use for max 2 years as it does cause bone loss. I advise taking calcium suppliments at least 1500 mg daily to help counteract that. If you're young, under 25, and active, you should be fine using this product for 2 years and able to restore the bone mass. It will also either cause spotty bleeding or eliminate periods all together. Weight gain is also an issue as you'll want to eat everything! lol Sad thing is, when you take birth control... it makes you not want to do the very act that you're taking it for. heh figures right?
Side note: I did not experience the headaches or cramps, actually they went away for me

I'll tell you this weight gain did the shot gain 30 pounds in 9 months and can't get the weight off, my GYN said it is extremly hard to lose the weight gain from the shot

I've heard bad things about them. Most of the women gain a lot more weight than the average birth control.

I took the shot for 7 years, a lot of headaches, and your weight gradually increases over time

Depo reduces bone mass and decreases the bone density. I do not advise using it. I would talk to your doctor, and ask about that.

i was on depo for about a year and my period was so screwed p and then after i got off of it my period was worse then ever i say just get the pill its so much better
