Driving through a small town in the West Virginia Appalachians I passed an elephant standing in the middle of a field alongside the road. I thought I was hallucinating, but when I reached the other side of town a small circus was camped for the night.

On I-85 North in Atlanta I saw an artificial leg, including a shoe attached. It was the strangest thing I've ever seen.

Dead dogs - in Oregon. What's up with that??? Every time we drive through Oregon on our way to Washington state I see dead dogs..no kidding! Oh, and once I saw a naked old fat man humping a blown out old tire on the side of the highway off of I-80!

As we drove across the vast Australian outback, we saw an old man with a white beard riding a bicycle. With the intense heat, distance to water and the difficulty of just getting across the area by car, it was amazing to see someone attempt it this way.

on I 8 in AZ I saw thousands and thousands turantulas crossing the interstate at around 3 in the morning ... I watched for about 10 15 minutes ... ( there were no other cars out there )
