I'd like to make a collection of music(all kinds) to save.

There's NO ""legal"" way to get music for free. Sorry!!! Your best bet is try to do it carefully illegally with Ares or Limewire, or see if you can get a bunch of friends together to chip in and buy the CD, then all load it onto your computers. You can also check out your friend's/family member's collections and see if you can bum a couple to load onto your computer. Once the CD is bought, it's technically legal to make up to 7 copies of it.

PS: I noticed a lot of people saying limewire, and even though it IS free, it's not actually legal. Sorry. But if you only download a couple songs every now and then, the feds won't bother you, they'll be looking for the people that are downloading hundred or thousands of songs. Just be careful.

Well, the iTunes store, of course. If you'd like free downloads, try Limewire.

360 share pro, do a search through bittorrent, there is a one time fee of like 40 something dollars, but you get unlimited downloads for life with no charge per download. it is a file sharing program, so it is legal, you can download music, movies, computer programs, porn, music videos, almost any media
