Yep.
He invented the classic bass, drums, two guitars band set up, wrote almost all his material, worked with one producer as a co-equal, experimented with different sounds in the studio, and could rock his @ss off.

Buddy Holly was great. They got the name of the band from when they were playing in their garage and there was a cricket chirping in the back ground. Who know how well they would have done if not for the untimely death of Buddy Holly. Did you know his wife was expecting their first child at the time and she miscarried. Sad.

I was about 16 years old when Buddy Holly died. I remember being very sad because I liked his music.

Yes and what's wierd is I downloaded some of his music today on Itunes and I'm listening to his song "Everyday" right now.

I'm not sure he'd care if I liked him or not since he's no longer alive (God rest his soul).

He was okay...just okay. Not crazy about him.
