Why do you/(we) like this site?

Question

I like it for the obvious reason, that I can get answers to things that I may not know, and other perspectives as well. Some of the questions are crude, some unintelligible. Likewise, some answers are rude, immature, and not to the point. In a disturbed kind of way, I find that amusing. Maybe it unlocks some voyueristic tendency that I have in a safe environment.

You are right. Some answers and questions too are rude, immature, not to the point and even ridiculous.

I like this site because when I find questions that are not like the above, I enjoy trying to answer them and maybe once in awhile ask a few questions too.

In the scientific section, there are questions that give me a chance to look some of them up and learn things because I am technically inclined.

You are right about your last point too. Some people like to read weird stuff and get to laugh about it. Laughing is good for us since so many bad things are happening in the world. I mainly like this site so that I can pass on knowledge when I have it and learn when I don't.

Here is my reason for visiting so much. I find that in the real world, I often feel compelled to offer suggestions. WAY TOO MUCH. This lets me do that as often as I like, thus sparing the inocent bystanders in my life.

I also have downgraded my job in exchange for more free time, and I need all the FREE advice I can get.

I also am trying to get a RUNNING category added, but I love to answer downright silly questions too.

Same reason, I think if you evaluate the answers you can actually find a good answer for your question.

we all have a hidden desire to see things in print that we may not have the guts to actually say aloud
