Why would a man marry a woman who was exactly like his sister?

I've known this guy for 13 years, he moved out of state for a few years and he has moved back with his new wife --who is exactly like his domineering, callous, inconsiderate, ill-tempered sister who he has complained about all his life. He has even declared his hatred for her because she controlled the household (even the parents!) through-out their childhood!
His wife even looks like his sister!

Love is blind. He probably doesn't see those qualities in her, he probably sees the best qualities.
