why do french stink ?i asked that on french yahoo and got kicked off?

Well, first don't ask the french that, but i guess it would have to been very funny to witness.
French don't stink. It is a myth.
Back in history (200-300 years ago, and earlier), there wasnt much water in France, so people couldnt bathe, and didnt have that costume, just once a month or so. Rich people could dissimulate that fact by using perfume (which was invented by the French because of that) but, if you were poor, you had to stink.
So before, the french stink, (but i heard somebody say, that they still dont usually bathe everyday , it stayed as part of their culture), but was because lack of water to be clean.

I'm French, currently leaving in your beautiful country (the US) and I'm the one whom replied to Zeff initial question; I can tell you that you are just carying myths.

There are as many stinky people in the US than anywhere else. Every country has its pride you should place yours better.

A pity, travel, open your eyes, breathe, go see the big world... It's far different than what you think... You worth better than this.

To refresh memories, this is part of my 1st reply to Zeff: France has with the City of Grasse the world's capital of perfume. Ever heard of Dior, Kenzo, Guerlain, Chanel, Cacharel, and so many more? Well they have a common point, they are all French world known perfumes brands.

We couldn't only have Paris as the world's capital of elegance without having the best fragrances and olfactory perception. This perception is so developped that you will meet it everywhere in France: fine arts, fine cuisine... anything related to taste.

So do better than such poor crap and comments...

I dont think that they really stink. We cover up our scents with unnatural chemicals whilst they do not. By the way of you have ever been with a French gal, most of them dont shave and that is the truth!!

You're over generalizing it. It could be true - or equally untrue - of any society or people. I laid a gal in Paris, and then a couple in Vichy (in the heart of France) and all of them were so wonderful without wearing deodorants! OMG, those petites I might never forget.
