Normally its behind the back of your tower. Check the back to see if theres a jack port for your microphone. Some are in front of the towers or they can even be plugged into the speakers.

I would start with behind the tower.

Ohhh you said microphone for karaoke.

Okay you need a microphone input converter. This is what it looks like on ebay:

Get this and you can just plug it in one side and the other side will be a USB. You just have to stick the USB in the back of the computer. You should have a couple of USB ports in the back of your computer, it looks like a small rectangular port.

If the computer has a place to plug in speakers or headphones, right next to it should be a port to plug in the mic. It should be red (but not always) and it will have an image bearing the vague likeness of a microphone. This will be a standard 1/8"" mono jack. If your mic is too big to plug into the hole, you will need a downsizer (1/4" to 1/8") which you can get at radioshack for about $1.50

A normal, "out-of-the-box" system that you buy at a department store or electronics outlet should have one - check the very front of your PC or on the back where all of your cards are.

If it was custom built, it is possible that it wouldn't have a mic jack, but that's highly improbable. Also, if you are using a Mac, your mic jack might not fit a normal microphone plug.

If you still cannot find a place to plug in your mic, consult the appropriate tech support documentation for your system.

Hope this helps... :)

Ahh, guess people forgot about your karaoke microphone.

I don't know the exact mm but Karaoke type microphones are much larger in size than computer sized microphones. There are adapters to switch from the big to the small (I believe it's 3.5 and 2.5 mm). Go check Radio Shack.

Then plug in the pink one.

Yeah a normal computer can have a mic and you plug it in on the back of the tower in the pink plug next to the green one for your speakers....good luck with it.

Yes almost all computers now have a facility to connect a stereo microphone (3.5 mm connector)
This is generally in front or back part of your cabinet. You should be able to see a microphone picture mark next to it.

on your microphone, you need to purchase Apple Headphones from the Apple save with a microphone already in them. those fee round $seventy 5. i'm exceedingly particular Skullcandy makes headphones that contain a microphone besides, for a much more effective useful value.
