Oh no! She is well. Her husband died a few years back. Loretta recorded a song with Jack White, of "The White Stripes" fame a while back. It was a great song! That is a really good question. I have been trying to find out the same thing all morning. I love her and was very upset when I saw the paper that said that. I have found out that she broke her shoulder at her ranch in Hurricane Mills and had to undergo surgery, but it said that she is recuperating at home. She has canceled her concerts for June and July due to this accident. I hope this helps. Also just a note to the person that said,"like her career", If I had a career like hers I definitely wouldn't say it was dead at all. She still plays SOLD OUT halls.
