DVD-ROMS and DVD-WRITERS come with a fixed amount of region changes. These region changes are stored in the firmware of your device. You can fool windows in to thinking your writers is a certain region by using software like DVD genie or AnyDVD.

If you can't change the region anymore you may need to download new firmware for your drive from the manufacturer, though that will not always work. You can get hacked firmware which will reset the region count, in some instance you can get firmware with an autoreset region.

Search for firmware for your drive model at the website of benq or get hacked firmware from the Dangerous brothers Vlad and Igor.

Please take the neccasary precausions when flashing your drives firmware with a new or hacked version. Make sure the drive you are flashing is the primary Slave. There must not be a disk in the drive, and at no time during the flash process should you cut power to the drive or reset the computer until the flashing software tells you it's okay. All will be explained when you download the firmware so don't be too concerned. I have done it on more than 10 drives and everyone of them worked.

oh yes after you flash the drive you need to use software to reset the value stored in the registry.

EDIT: only use firmware made for your model of benq drive, as firmware made for one model of benq eill not work a different model benq, and will most likely render the drive useless if you do.
