how do you take care of a bamboo plant

stick it in a bowl or vase full of water..make sure there is always water in the container at least 1/3 of the way up the base...

I have one and due to lack of water, it always looks messy. I would suggest that you keep the water up to yours. I would never plant one in the garden in case it took over.

Here in the tropics they grow wild everywhere. Lots of rain and heat!

No special care... just give water to it every day... maintain the soil damp.
