I see black snakes, with white stripes, and also green and yellow snakes in my yard. any natural way to get rid of them and keep them from coming back? they come every year around june,

Garter snakes and Black snakes are basically harmless. Just pick up the garter snake and take it away. It's not poisonious.The blacksnake on the other hand is not poisonious but are grouchy and quick to bite. Don't pick it up. Mothballs don't really work. They are benificial they are probably eating some rodents around the house. Owls are their natural enemy so you may try some owl decoys.

Snakes are very beneficial, why would you want to get rid of them? If they are in your yard, you probably have some mice or rats they are feeding on, and mice and rats can cause a lot of damage. From your description, sounds like you have ring necked black snakes, and garter snakes, both are not agressive and nice snakes to have around for killing rodents. Keep your snakes, they won't hurt you.... probably as scared of you as you are of them!

You should know that the snakes you have likely are non-poisonous. They won' t hurt you. But there is a positive side to black snakes...they keep the poisonous snakes away. So you should consider the snakes that you have an asset, and you don't want to kill something that is beneficial.

Probably the only jail in the USA where they wear stripes, like in the OLD Movies, would be the Maricopa County Jail, in Phoenix, AZ. The indoor prisoners wear the stripes. The outdoor prisoners wear Pink Most every other jail or prison in the Country they usually wear Orange jump suits, for Felons.....and Blue Jump suits for Misdemeanor arrestees

Try a couple of boxes of moth balls or moth flakes. This should help some.
