Absolutism - Subjects, no matter what they are, that are totally 100% non conforming. They do not change and are ABSOLUTE.

Relativity - Subjects that do conform to their surroundings depending on current circumstances.

The Creator is absolute. That is the beginning.
God said His name (to Moses) is "I Am". God exists apart from and independent of this physical universe.

if it's made from energy it's relative. energy is never created or destroyed, only it changes, and it changes because it's always moving. Moving energy is measurable and as it moves it collects and accumulates into mass and becomes matter. if everything in the universe is made from matter than its all relative. we use a ten digit system to measure, and math to understand the relationship between things measurable, and that is relativity. e.g.. my height is directly relative to weather or not I'll need a chair to reach a cupboard.

There may be some small things that are absolute like "I have never spoken to the Pope" and "There is not an elephant in this room". but truth and morality and fast and slow and all that are all relative.

David Y is right: the universe as a whole is absolute. There is nothing to which it has any relation.

There are three absolutes: Epistemic (reason), Metaphysic (only some is eternal), and Ethic (moral Law).

"Everything is relative" is surely a doctrine only an absolutist would agree to.
