Are you Racist?

I cant understand how people can be so racist!! There alot of people in this world that are!! I have seen pleanty of examples of white people and being racist towards black people and black people being racist to white people! at the end of the day it is just a skin colour!! Ifeveryone was the same colour it would be a very boring world!

Also tell me of any experiences of racism towards and tell me if you are black or white etc

theres really no purpose in racism i mean black ppl r only the color that they r because they absorb more light wavelengths and white ppl well for lack of the wavelengths get sunburned easily its only skin color i mean being black has bnothing to do w the overall reliability of a race hell i ingratiated among high society, went to private school and am in college w/o the help pf financial aid or affirmative action! I have a white well hold up I just dumped him check out my answer to the girl that says her bf cuts but anyways its so sick to hear the n word from ppl nowadays because they throw it out of context u know? I had a mexican call my friend the n word the other day! Thats right a mexican? Now where do they get off being racist? The new world order is already populated w minorities and some racists hold onto their belief of staying strong as a ppl and there is nothing wrong w that but when it violates the other races rights to happiness then there is a problem

Someone posed a question on here that basically said "Isn't everyone a little racist?" And the overwhelming majority of answerers said "Yes!" as we all have pre-conceived ideas about other races - which amounts to prejudice really.
But racism I would say is a lot stronger. It's actually thinking an entire race of people are below you in some way - and I don't believe most of us are like that. The trouble is the minority seem to cause a bigger stir than the majority. And you still have the KKK in South rural America bringing up children as white supremacists and making them wear white hoods. In this day and age, you wouldn't think it still went on. Utterly crazy. It still surprises me the depths of human depravity.

Firstly i want to state that im NOT a racist but condone inter-racial sex. As i see it we all human beings and should respect each other and there view pionts. What i think it come downs to is not accual skin colour but the clash of cultures. If you think of it... Think of a person with dread locks, baggie clothes and a spliff. Okay, how would you say this person's skin colour would be? Most of ya thought it is a black carribian man!! You could be wrong! Just think of the crazy white people in Amsterdam!!

It is all about culture and the assosiation with it!! At the end you DONT like the other persons skin but the way of thinking (that persons culture) of the other person.

This type of prejudice does exist but it doesn't stop there! Racism stems from individual or group intolerance towards other individuals or groups who are in the minority or who are different in some way.
It is actually where one side wants power over another and really has nothing to do with colour of skin. It is those that live in fear of their own inner weakness that tend to perpetrate prejudice.
They will for example, single out deformities, unattractiveness, exceptionally high or low intelligence, gang fights (both sides non white), different beliefs or cultures, etc etc
Human beings should have a far greater tollerance for each other because we are in fact, each and every one of us, entirely unique.

Seriously,I think this should be a question everyone has to answer cos more often we tend to see this things happen around us and because we feel superior or cause we are not directly affected maybe cause we're white and maybe think been white makes us superior,we tend to shut our eyes on victims of this scourge.Its a question we indeed need to give a deep thought.I don't think God was'nt dumb about making us all and seriously if he had the intent of racial segregation,he'ld have made a different planet for blacks and another for whites.I feel from my heart of hearts we need each other and we can't indeed do without each other be it black or white,we were made by him(God).We need to embrace the fact that the only difference between a black man and a white man is his colour pigment of their different skins and nothing more.We are all beautifully made by God and we need to get that fact into our heads and stop this madness called racism.

As far as the color of your skin? Well I am "white" though I think is hardly fair to call Irish people white... we suffered as bad as any other race and atleast there's not a Holiday that people use to make a mockery of you!

I trust white people very little. If you don't have darker skin I will assume you are only talking to me because you want to find out if you can use me for something and will be holding my breath waiting for you to start talking about yourself and how everyone else is wrong about whatever they believe in.

The worst part is, White people don't even back up other white people, unless it is in hatred of another race or idealolgy.

BTW if this offends you... *laughs* you are the reason why I feel this way =P

I agree that the world would be very boring if we were all the same. the sad fact is, there have always been and always will be racist people, we have to do our best to realize these people dont know that they are really hurting themsleves by not opening up to others and they will live a sad life because of this. We should really feel sorry for those people. They dont know what they are missing and that they could learn alot from those who are different from them.

YUP..RACISM IS A STUPIDITY THING.. The world is messed up..racism is just an ignorant excuse to hate someone...no wonder kids bully others at school look at the discrimnative world we live in. We discriminate beacue of skin color nationallity body type, even sexulality and gender, as well as religion, and lifestyle..theres always gonna be some form or another of predjuduce in this world. This is just the kind of thing that is passed on to children to. I dont think it will ever stop....but i believe that everyone is predjudce in some way.

Being a racist usually has to do with ignorance of the one you dislike.
So many people fall into the trap of myth's and resort to hate in order to fit into a particular group as well.
Education is the best defense against racism.

I'm not racist. But i do have issues with some nationalities but that is for personal reasons that originate in cultural differences that affected me profoundly at the time they happened. One of them was when a good friend of mine was kidnknapped by her brothers to enter into an arranged marriage. I never saw her again and the people that went out to find her to see how she was got treathened with their life.
