I guess there's no way for a "conservative" to answer this because the premise of your question is that "neo cons" are mean spirited. To answer the question would be to admit that they ARE mean spirited, which the MAJORITY ARE NOT. If you find yourself in an indefensible position then irrationality tends to force you to "hide" behind whatever you can. I've seen many Liberal questions and answers here that impress me as being the epitome of hypocracy.
Go Libertarian. It just makes sense.

Your question....it is kind of like the pot calling the kettle black, no?
I am a conservative and I do not:
-say mean things about anyone of different political opinions.
-get red in the face arguing about politics
-hide behind religion or the flag...I am proud of them both.
-make up obnoxious stories about people
etc...etc...
You judging the Republican party by some of the people on here would be like me judging the Democratic party based solely on Michael Moore....you have to take the extremists with a grain of salt.

Having control of all 3 branches of government and the major media is how they get away with it.
"You have keep repeating yourself to get the truth out there. You need to catapult the propaganda" G.W. Bush 2004
When the facts aren't on your side, its far easier start name calling and waving the flag. Its like when you were a child and said things like: "Oh yea, well your a big poop head". It's just a way to distract from reality and change the subject.
Whats un-American and immoral is defending liars, theives, war criminals and killers. I'll keep my liberal beliefs and keep defending the weakest among us, as taught in the bible, Thank you very much.

Here is how a conservative "debates" with a liberal:
Arguing without Listening"
Liberal Lie: "We rushed to war on false pretenses."
Educated Response: "You Hate America!"
Liberal Lie: "The Constitution isn't a political tool."
Educated Response: "Read the Bible!"
Liberal Lie: "The Clear Skies Initiative raises pollution."
Educated Response: "America Hater!"
Liberal Lie: "There is no link between Iraq and al-Qaeda."
Educated Response: "Traitor!"
Liberal Lie: "The tax cuts clearly benefit the wealthy."
Educated Response: "Stop hating America!"
Liberal Lie: "They turned a surplus into a deficit."
Educated Response: "It's Clinton's fault!"
Liberal Lie: "The 2000 Election was a sham."
Educated Response: "You hate, Hate, HATE America!"
Liberal Lie: "I don't hate America."
Educated Response: "Flip-Flopper!"
Remember, it's not about being right.... it's about winning!

I would rather be anything rather than a far left liberal, who wants to live in a communist style country. I enjoy responsibility for myself and my choices. How many liberals practice what they whine about all the time. If you care so much more than we do for the poor in third world countries move there and help them.

Your question brings out the worst in liberals, thanks, keep it up. Why can you ask a question without using "neo cons", I'm guessing you mean conservatives, if so use the word.
