Saw your question the other day and last night an answer came to me. They do not not have many listings-but I think its free. One of the oldest search engines, Galaxy.com has turned irself into a Craigslist. I "went there" about two weeks ago (they used to have one of those spy-on-recent-searches things) and discovered this transformation.

try putting your ads in newspapers. there alot of people needing homes they can rent and that helps them pay for their rent.
