On Monday at school we have this talent show. My friend Breana and I are singing in it. We are singing "A Moment like this", and I have a lot of solo parts in it! I have never done this before and I am really nervous! I am scared that I am going to sing really bad, and my family is going to be there!! I need help! Is there any way I can calm my nerves??? Thanks in advance!

Drugs

Just Kidding! When I have to give speeches and stuff I always practice a lot until I'm confident I know all the words and then I spend time rehearsing for friends and family. It builds confidence. Then right before I go on I take a bunch of really deep breaths.

Sing it over and over again until you have it right, and the day of the performance, don't speak at all until right before the show. That should help.
Classical music always calms me down too.

go up there and forget everyone else there, focus on singing, if you mess up know one's gonna know unless you make a big deal about it. Once i start doing that i;m fine

At least you are singing with a partner. It helps so much to have someone up there with me, sharing in my ordeal!
