An erection can be an entirely physical response, particularly in a younger man. They may still not want to engage in intercourse with that particular woman. If he says no, it does not matter if he has an erection. It would still be rape if she continued anyway... and although men are generally physically stronger than women, not all are. Men can also be victims of domestic abuse. Everyone should recognize that someone's feelings are NOT less important because that someone is male.

In most states, having any kind of non-consensual sexual contact is a crime (not all states use the term "rape", but have varying degrees of criminal sexual conduct, with the most severe forms having a laymans term of "rape") Under the common law (the law we brought over from England, some of which is still used today), it was impossible for a woman to rape a man. Most states have done away with that distinction. Also, age and mental capacity weren't taken into account in the past.

There are those who claim a woman is incapable of being raped due to the fact a woman's vagina cannot be penetrated unless she is willing.

So, how is it physically possible for a woman to be raped?

The same answer applies to both questions.

She can threaten him or use a weapon just as a man can. Women have raped boys. Several teachers have gone to jail for it. Seduction is a form of rape if one person is under 18.

A man can develop an erection very easily. That DOES NOT men he consents to have sex with that women, it just means he is physically turned-on. Think of a man's erection like a woman's becoming aroused and lubricated- it DOES NOT equal consent to sexual intercourse, it is simply a phyiscal reaction.
