Check your local statutes, but I do not think so.
What you should know is, you have the same rights as a motor vehicle (use of lanes, turns etc.) but also the same responsibilities (yield to pedestrians, stop lights, signaling)

No, but you had better have a way to identify your bike when it is stolen. The id number is usually on the bottom of the pedal shaft on the bike frame.

heh, i dont know, i ride my bike in the middle of the road tho. i mean c'mon they have a car, im pedaling a bike. but i still manage to slow them down :P
