Did you put the clothes in the dryer right away after washing them? If the clothes get done washing and sit in the washer for even a hour - they will smell really bad!

I would say something is definitly stuck inside your dryer...I did find a dead mouse in my dryer vent. The fire dept. says you should vacuum out your dryer annually. I think none of us does this. As someone before me said, pull your dryer out, and take the back off and vacuum, maybe an animal has found it's way in there.

The dryer is obviously not drying your clothes properly. That used to happen to me, and I got a new dryer and everything is working out well now.

The clothes had soured. Could be you left them in the washer too long or they didn't get dry the 1st time around and set in the dryer too long. Re wash them.
In the summer clothes will sour quick.

Try getting a new dryer. I know mine did that and it was because there was mold forming in the dryer. First of all, it's not good for you, and second, you may want to buy new cloths. Don't worry unless you want to get sick.

ok if your clothes sat in the washer wet for longer than a day, then most likely it IS mildew you are smelling...your best bet would be to dry them out as much as you can and then re wash them, but be sure they are COMPLETLY dry .....almost crispy, and your clothe should smell fresh again

You might have a small animal in the dryer vent. Check it out..and clean it out. It is very important to do this often.
