I'm 18 but people often think I look younger. Probably because they look at my height and not my face. I wear black eye-liner, foundation and eye-shadow. is there anything i could do diffrently so that i look more my age?

I think you should be happy that you look younger. When you get used to people thinking your younger then you are, it's not a great feeling when you start looking your age. Enjoy it while you can.

My friend and I have the same problem. I was at the gas station the other day and the guy at the counter asked if I was even old enough to drive. (I'm 19!)
I think that maybe if you wear heels people won't guess your age with your height. Plus heels are more sophisticated.
As for the make-up. Maybe you are over doing it and people assume you are young and don't know how to wear make-up correctly. So maybe go a little more natural.
Other things like clothes and hair also make a difference. I just bought some clothes that don't show any tummy and i feel like I look older. Also stay away from pig tails and super high pony tails.

I get that all the time, too! I am 20 but most people think I am 16! Its annoying but I guess it could be a good thing; you can stay looking younger for a long time!:) lol. I don't think makeup will help you make you look your age and its not your height. Its just that we're young. You can make yourself look a little older by your clothes, but then we don't want to wear old people clothes...so I don't know what else to tell ya!:) Good luck.

Well I'm 30 and people think I'm 18. I admit I get real annoyed when I'm tryin to get into a club or by a drink! When I was 18 and they thought I was 16 it really bothered me a whole lot more... but now that I'm older I'm glad I didn't wear a lot of makeup to look older and mess up my skin. People my age wonder how I've done it. Just be grateful you have been blessed with such luck. and try and make a joke out of it.... thats what I've always done..

Ill be 19 this month and i have the same problem but i dont mind! If someone thinks im younger i take it as a compliment! When they get to know me and know how mature i am they take me more seriously!
You may also look younger cause you wear too much make up. try dark colors that look natural!

I don't think you want makeup tricks to make you look older - though a new hairstyle or style of dressing could help. The biggest challenge for a petite woman can be finding affordable clothes made for women in her size.

BTW, appreciate the fact that you look younger now. When you are 30 and getting carded for the first time, you are going to miss it.

I have your exact problem, my sister is two inches taller then me and so people assumpt shes younger but she actually two years older. There really nothing you can do. Try dressing more sophisticated and do your hair a different way or something.

brows change your look when they are arched/trimmed , make sure you are putting your liner in the proper place according to your eye size and shape using daytime or nightime shades also counts and lastly how you are wearing your hair is a major factor

No really. Just stay away from really bright colors I guess. You should try changing the way you wear your hair and the way you dress. That would work better.
