i have the router i just do not know what goes where. (the cords)

Get a wireless PC card and put it into your PC slot...you can get either b or g for your laptop.

If you already have WIFI on your laptop then you dont need this card, but if you dont, then you need to force your laptop to be wireless by getting the card above.

Its pretty cheap. You can also get it on ebay for cheaper. Once you slide it in, you can automatically connect.

ok.
fir stick in the cd that came with it and says insert this cd first.
then follow hte instructions
after you finsih that tihng oyu will end up with the cable mdowm connected to the cable cable. the ethernet comeout of the cable modem and going into the port i the back of the router probably syas LAN and a ethernet cable coming out of the router next to hte number one or soemtihn g going into your computer. then disconnect that cable after finished with steps on cd and access the wirelss by going to the wirless icon on the taskbar and scanning for connections and selecting your ssid and connecting. then surnf the new ro whatever yur gonna do.

assuming your laptop can make the connection, following the 'connect' sequence offered by the wizard.
