What is the best way to find/download music (a particular song at a time) from the web, hopefully for free. I understand this will be a limited amount of free-license songs.

While there are many P2P software packages which offer ways for you to download music from other people, this is illegal in many countries. If you want music, you can download them for a small price from many online websites, or buy a CD from a store and download the files to your computer.
