I find it odd that so many people object to same sex marriages, but are OK with them raising kids (I object to both).

I think it's important for a child's developement to have a MOTHER and a FATHER! Two women can not provide the right mental training for a boy, just like two men can not properly teach a girl about feminine issues.

I agree with the comments talking about some parents of traditional marriages being bad and there being some great parents of same sex marriages. However, think about the kids and think about the cruel world they are brought up in. I live in a very rural, old fashioned town where a kid brought up in a homosexual family would be totally ridiculed throughout their childhood. Not that I believe that's right either, but what society teaches as "normal" and what parents of same sex marriages are teaching can create confusion and hard times for young children. This world is changing too much and too fast ... and not necessarily for the better.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Why should people be denied the right to raise children because of their sexual preference? Some people think that same sex couples will "make their kids gay", I don't believe this to be true at all. I believe that a person is gay from birth, it's not a choice, it's just the way they were born. I think that if a same sex couple has the love to give a child, I think they should be allowed that right.

This is a very touchy question. I disagree with you on this one and i have no intention of offending you. You asked..so here is my opinion. There are so many children out there who are unwanted, unloved, and did not ask to be brought into this hell hole of a world. I strongly believe that anybody who is willing to open their arms to children whose only wish is to be loved, should be held in the highest regard. Whether it be a same sex couple or otherwise. Now then, there are of course, other ways that same sex couples can have children other than adoption. And in that respect I believe the same way. Anybody who is willing to love a child with all of their heart should never be denied that joy b/c of their sexual preference. I think that in today's world LOVE is often absent. Society has lost touch with this bigger issue and anybody who is willing to try to put a little more love and care into this world should never be denied their right to do so.

I don't have a problem with same sex couples. I know quite a few. However,I think that raising children in this atmosphere can be very confusing to the child. I DON'T agree with that.

I see nothing wrong with same sex couples raising children. If they can provide a postitive loving home for kids, freedom to choose their own beliefs when older, and provide everything any parent should/would give. Then it's not a issue.

U ASKED A REALLY GOOD QUESTION.. I DONT HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST PEOPLE WHO WANT TO HAVE THE SAME SEX PARTNER. SAME SEX MARRIAGES HAS ALOT TO DO WITH DIFFERENT RELIGIONS AND MORALS SO U REALLY CANT SAY IF ITS A GOOD OR BAD THING. AND FOR THE KIDS BEING RAISED WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TWO SISTERS OR BROTHERS RASING A CHILD. WHAT IF THE TWO SISTERS ARE GAY BUT RAISING THERE BROTHER?

Same sex couples are just as capable as parents as are traditional couples. Just because of their sexual orientation does not mean they are not good parents. How many traditional couples do you know that make lousy parents? All that children really need is security in knowing they are unconditionally loved regardless if they have two moms, two dads or a mom and dad.

Judge not lest ye be judged.

i think it isbad for the children it will probably b very depressing for them going to school n it wont b good for them mentally and phsically as they would be throwing up and grossed out about their parents bein the same sex and they will not grow up havin a normal childhood it can also cause probems in their future relatinships

How do you explain the book of Genesis to your child when you're a mommy/mommy or daddy/daddy couple? or are you just going to tell them that babies come from a laboratory and it costs a lot of money for the procedure?
