is there any possible way? i dont really understand the points thing. can anyone explain it to me? how do you get 3 points and 2 and 1 point and is there any way to get more points?

not possible. US only has one whereas Ghana has three. only one of the will get up to three points next game. Italy already has 4, and Czechs have 3, and one of them will get at least one point. so they'll move on.

no they can't both.
you get 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. you don't get 2 points or more than 3.
Ghana and USA play each other next and Italy plays the Czech Republic.
currently they are:
Italy 4
Czech 3
Ghana 3
USA 1
the most points USA could get now is 4 if they win on Thursday.
Ghana will still have 3 so not go on because Italy already has more. But if Ghana wins or draws the USA would not go on because the US would still have the least points in the group.
However, if Italy & Czech draw unless the USA wins by a lot the USA won't advance because Czech already has a better goal differential (goals scored minus goals scored against you).
There are several more ways the group could turn out.

The US has to win to have any chance of moving on; Ghana has to at least draw to have a chance of moving on. As you'll see below, both cannot advance.
Scenarios are this (currently Italy with 4, Czechs and Ghana with 3, USA with 1):
Italy win, Ghana win - Italy and Ghana move on
Italy win, draw - Italy and Ghana move on
Italy win, US win - Italy and US move on
Draw, Ghana win - Ghana and Italy move on
Draw, draw - Italy and Czechs move on (Czechs would have goal differential over Ghana)
Draw, US win - Italy and Czechs move on unless US beats Ghana by 5 or more; if US wins by 4, goals scored will determine second team
Czech win, Ghana win - Czechs and Ghana move on (Ghana can still get first spot if they beat US by two more goals than Czechs beat Italy; if they win by one more goal, it comes down to goals scored)
Czech win, draw - Czechs and Italy move on, unless Czechs win by 3 or more, where Ghana would be the second team (Czechs win by 2 and it would come down to goals scored)
Czech win, US win - Czechs and Italy would move on, unless US overcomes goal differential with Italy.
Italy is the only country that can move on with a loss, so both games on Thursday should be all-out wars. No one can really hold back.

The point system for the first round is:
The system of play will be the league system, each team playing one match against each of the other teams in the same group, with three points for a win, one point for a draw and none for a defeat.
The round of sixteen, quarterfinals, semifinals, play-off for third place and final will all be played in accordance with the knock-out system. That means, no points are award and the winner of the match advance to the next round.
After the games of today, the standings of the group is:
Italy 4 points (1 win + 1 draw)
Czech 3 Points (1 win)
Ghana 3 Points (1 win)
USA 1 Point (1 draw)
Next matches: Italy vs Czech, and Ghana vs USA.
So, if Ghana and USA play between them it means that one of them is not going to make it, because each one off them needs to win to asure themself that they will pass to the next round and playing between them means that there are playing for the same points. Lets see what are the posibilities:
Ghana wins and Italy and Czech draw. The standings will be
Ghana 6 Points (2 win)
Italy 5 points (1 win + 2 draw)
Czech 4 Points (1 win + 1 draw)
USA 1 Point (1 draw)
USA wins (US have to win for more than 3 goals, if it wins with less than 3 goals Czech advance because of the goal diference ) and Italy and Czech draw. The standings will be
Italy 5 points (1 win + 2 draw)
USA 4 Point (1 win + 1 draw)
Czech 4 Points (1 win + 1 draw)
Ghana 3 Points (1 win)
USA and Ghana draw, and Italy and Czech draw
Italy 5 points (1 win + 2 draw)
Czech 4 Points (1 win + 1 draw) (for goal difference)
Ghana 4 Points (1 win + 1 draw)
USA 2 Point (2 draw)
USA and Ghana draw, and Italy wins
Italy 7 points (2 win + 1 draw)
Ghana 4 Points (1 win + 1 draw)
Czech 3 Points (1 win)
USA 2 Point (2 draw)
USA and Ghana draw, and Czech win

So you could check, there is no posible way that USA and Ghana make it to the next round.

Their opportunities are high good. truly all they could desire to do is beat the U. S.. if the U. S. comes out like they did against the Czech republic, they're going to be overwhelmed by a Ghana team that is going to return with a lot of spirit. by the way, Togo is now out of the working.
