If the Federal Reserve announces a change in the direction of monetary policy, is it describing an offensive or defensive action? Explain your answer. Consider our present policy? What is it and should it change? Why or why not?

The Fed changes the policy to slow down the economy and slow inflation. It could be consider both offensive or defensive depending how you look at it.
