The odds of a miscarriage in a normal healthy woman is about 25% every time she gets pregnant. That means that one in four pregnancies end in the first trimester, which lasts 12 weeks and you are about half way through. The fact that the doctor has not done any tests yet most likely will not effect the pregnancy, unless you suspect you have a STD or other condition that may adversely affect the pregnancy.
You should not stress though, I know that is hard sometimes. I am 5 weeks pregnant for the first time myself and it's hard not to worry about what could happen. But the more you stress the more stress it places on your body and your baby, which is not healthy.
Just chill out and enjoy it.

The odds are higher for the average pregnancy until you get to the 3 month mark. If there are any problems that arrise or previous health problems that could make the risk sometimes higher or last longer. My cousin is expecting her first, she was able to stay on one anti-depressant she was taking and has to keep taking one of the blood thinners she was on. These meds she has had to stay on can cause the risk of miscarriage to last longer than the average 3 months. I have a little boy, 19 months old. I was on anti-depressants before I got pregnant and until shortly after I found out that I was pregnant. I didn't have any other health problems before pregnancy aside from being overweight just like my cousin. I had a very uneventful pregnancy thankgoodness and the morning sickness let up at 4 months, 2 weeks before my wedding and I didn't have to take any meds during pregnancy aside from vitamines. Which I do suggest very strongly that you start taking tonight if you aren't taking them already. You should also express your concerns with your dr. or obgyn if you see one of them too. Good luck and best wishes.

If a miscarriage is going to happen, it most likely will happen sometime during the first three months. You should not have pap smears during the first three months of your pregnancy. Blood work is fine.

honey, pap smear is to detect cervical cancer and it is a yearly screening examination once you are 18 or more or you are sexually active. Cervical cancer is brought about in few women only though infected by Human Papilloma virus. Now in routine blood work during pregnancy all you need is Iron, vitamin levels and usually they have nothing to relate with miscarriage. Yes B12 and folate are necessary to prevent fetal abnormalities. And normal Iron level is good to have for your own sake. Except you should not smoke or drink. Smoking is related to miscarriage, sudden fetal death, preterm delivery etc. No more alcohol too..as it damages fetus in many ways. Since you are already 6 mths just take care few months more and you should be fine believe me.

It is still too early for blood work. That will be done around your 3rd month. Just relax, your feelings are normal. Take care of yourself, eat right, and take your vitamins. They say after 3 months you're pretty safe. None of the things you mentioned would affect your pregnancy. A book I highly recommed is "What to Expect When you are Expecting. It tells you exactly what to expect at each stage of your pregnancy.
Congratulations and I wish the best for you and your baby!

Well that depends on lots of things. Are you healthy? Have you had any before? Is the father young-ish and healthy? You are almost out of the high risk danger zone of 6-8 weeks. But you should still be careful.

The only way I could see that being possible is if you where rh negative; and if your baby was rh positive since there is an anti d antibody that could attack the baby's blood. that is rare in any case. try not to stress to much, and enjoy the experience if possible.

You cant really consider yourself out of the woods until about 12 weeks. Take it easy, dont smoke, drink, do drugs, or lift anything too heavy! Good luck!
