Actually all of them may die eventually. I am assuming you are using them to cycle your tank. If you don't know what that means then you will want to do a search on it. But the basic gist of it is that they defecate, which contains ammonia, which turn into nitrites, which turn into nitrates and eventually your biological filtration will become established. The whole process takes about a month but along the way there will be ammonia spikes, or periods of high ammonia content that will probably kill your fish. Basically I wouldn't plan on keeping the fish you have in there. Buy a master test kit if you don't already have one and just keep checking it until the ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite levels are at or very close to zero. If you check it right now it could probably be zero but there hasn't been enough time for ammonia to get in the water. Believe me it takes a while. There is an alternative to waiting, though. It is a product called Bio-Spira that will cycle your tank over night. So either wait or pay $15 or so and get it done over night. Good Luck!

As long as they aren't long finned danios, they'll be fine, and so will the tiger barb.Tiger barbs are fin nippers. If your danios are long finned, I'd say return the tiger barb to the store.Generally, tiger barbs do better in a more established tank, but they are relatively hardy.Just make sure you keep up on checking your ph levels. They also are better kept in groups of 4 or more, to cut down their bullying on other fish.

You should really take him back barbs really should only be in schools of 5 or more. Otherwise he'll start picking on the rest of your fish.
