i looking for info that will be public knowledge but that i don't have to pay for. also if it can be narrowed down to specific cities or only states

Google it Just type in marriage licenses in the city and state you want. You should get the info there. Or you can find out what court you would get married at and jusdt go there.

It is public knowledge, and can be called up on the Counties website. You can do a search for marriage in specific location via the county as long as you know the couple's names. It will show you all the specific information on file.
