Hubby says it's mostly from iron in the water (hence the orange color). Wondering if I run a cycle through with vinegar or something...

Orange is usually a sign of having Iron in the water. Put Iron Away in the dishwasher and run it empty completely through all the cycles once or twice and the orange film should be gone should be gone.

Put a cup of white vinegar in the bottom of the washer overnight and then load the washer with dish washing soap and run without dishes. You might want to check and see if you can get a filter to go on the end of the water intake hose.

I heard that Kool-aid will clean the inside of a dishwasher. Just open a couple packs and run a cycle. I haven't tried it just read it in a magazine.
