Get married, have a baby, become a mom. That's one heck of a 24 hour job. Men can't hack it. The very nature of you being a woman precludes you from needing a degree. Hah! Womanhood is an exclusive university.

That is not true - you don't need a degree for lots of things.

I work from home as a freelance graphic designer and web developer and I know folks who are copy writers and chemical data analyzer/report writers - so if you have a professional skill there might be a way to do that from home.

I used to know some women who did medical transcription from home (she worked for a service and she would be paid per typed page maybe). Virtual Assistance is also very popular. You can be a secretary for someone on line (check their email, type and send letters, faxes, etc.).

I also had a neighbor who worked for a Sole Proprieter as a secretary / assistant from her home. Often times freelancers or independent contractors don't have the time to do their own admin work, but don't have a physical location for their biz, since they work from their own home). I also a knew a bookkeepper who worked for several clients - she's go to 1 place each day of the week and help them or collect records monthly and enter then at home.

Some of the "shop at home" businesses are really popular. Weekenders Clothes, PartyLite Candles, Pampered Chef, Tupperware. They can be fun and quite profitable (think Weekenders is most lucrative).

I know people who do daycare or babysitting in their home, make jewelry, teach pilates classes in their yard or basement. eBay is also a good way to make money - and they can help you find wholesalers that will do all the shipping even. There are a million things you can do.

Medical Transcription is a possibility. You could sell things on Ebay. I've made quite a bit of money that way. Anything and everything in your house down to electrical outlet cover and screws and you name it, people want it on Ebay. But it takes a while to get the hang of it.
You could contact some major magazines and see if you could write a column for them or something like that. Keep trying and you will find something.
