You go to Start Menu.
Control Panel.
System.
And then click on the Advanced Tab.
Under Performance there is a settings tab.
You can increase your virtual memory there, but I wouldnt touch it because it usually allocates it the best way possible so that your computer and your graphics card gets the most from your memory.
It usually means you might need to upgrade your memory. Go to control panel again, then system, and then check your computer information and see how much memory you have. If you only have 128MB RAM, which is the standard that new computers come in, then you might need to add more RAM.
The more the RAM, the better performance of your computer. If you only have 128MB RAM then that basically means that you cant have much more than maybe 3 or 4 programs opened at the same time.
If you need more help or if you want instructions on how to install more memory, then contact me in my profile.

The permanent soution: If you are using windows xp, right-click on my computer and goto properties (or access from control panel >> system). Then click on the advanced tab. Under the performance heading click on settings.
Then increase the page file size from the currently set size. Make sure that you have more space available on your hard drive then the size of the pagefile you select.
Temporary Solution: Close some of the programs you are using.

If you are using a Windows PC, it means you are running too many processes at one time, close some unessesary programs and if that doesnt do anything, try running a spyware scan, and also, right-click some things on the quick-launch bar and close them

I get that too, what it means there is not enough memory in your computer and you should erase documents (preferably junk) to free up memory so your computer can run better.

You're running nt or 98.
Your computer is saying you are running out of memory.
Increase it by buying more or stop running as many processes at once.

Often it means you have too many programs open at the same time. If you don't need it, close it down.
