I have some pretty dirty trays mainly from spilled over liquids. I have tried some comet and what not, but it usually takes forever and I have a short time frame to get them clean before we move out. Any solutions that I might already have on hand?

I usually just toss them and buy new ones. They're not expensive. Try Walmart.

Remove the pans from under the burners, place them in a garbage bag or Wal-Mart bag. Spray each pan with ammonia after placing in bag. Tie open end of bag and let set over night or for at least a few hours. Do not rinse off when you take it out of the bag. Use a non scratching scouring pad to rub off the loose debris and any that is lightly stuck to pans. If more needs to be removed, spray and soak again. I do this often and it works beautifully. Good luck.

I've found oven cleaner in a bag to be the best way also. But now I never have to do that again because I cover them with heavy duty aluminum foil as soon as I move in and change as needed.

Oven cleaner. Put them in a plastic bag, spray the cleaner onto the grime and seal up the bag overnight. Then in the morning, wash with soapy hot water and you may have to scour a bit....or I saw on "How Clean is Your House" use meat tenderizer but I haven't used it myself so cannot say.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers or Krud Kutters (you can get it at Home Depot or Wal-mart). Also, soak them in vinegar and hot water for a while and see if that doesn't loosen up the burnt on food. You can, as last resort, go get new stove covers. They aren't that expensive.

oven cleaner works .,spray it on let it sit for 25 minutes and wipe off. you may need to do this a few times to get all the stuff off.
if that does not work ,cover them in foil and let it be..
the landlord will accept it.as long as it looks clean..

I scrub mine with a brillo pad and run them through the dishwasher. Buying replacements is a good idea to. They are not expensive, less than $2.00. Take one of the old ones with you so your sure of buying the right style and size.
